Eighteen-Ninety Sleepover

A Favorite Destination for Tourists

A nostalgic hotel in Downtown Casey, Illinois

Eighteen-Ninety Sleepover is a Favorite Tourist Destination

Casey is a small community in East Central Illinois. It is located on Interstate 70 mid-way between St. Louis, Missouri, and Indianapolis, Indiana.

Casey is an excellent stop for travelers as it is full of life with "big" attractions, restaurants, and quaint shops.

Tourists will want to see all of the "Big Things in a Small Town" and the Guinness certified world's largest items: the wind chime, rocking chair, mailbox, wooden shoes/clogs, golf tee, pitchfork, key, gavel, twizzle spoon, golf driver, barbershop pole, and teeter-totter.

But don't stop there! Take some time to stroll through town and enjoy seeing the other "big" things such as Bob the Minion, spinning top, rocking horse, toy glider, book worm, birdcage, ear of corn, pencil, yardstick, knitting needles, crochet hook, wooden token, anvil, nail puzzle, big coin, mousetrap, horseshoe, cactus, pizza slicer, and deer antlers.

If you still have time left in your day, stop by the Illinois American Softball Association Hall of Fame and the Historic National Road Information Kiosk.

Come for the attractions, eat dinner at Richard's Farm or Greathouse of Pizza, and spend the night in the nostalgic Eighteen-Ninety Sleepover. Check our reservations page to see our availability.

Built by the Knights of Pythius in 1890, this former meeting hall has been renovated to an early 1900s themed Sleepover.

Kimberlee Davidson-Russell purchased the building from Casey Township on February 9th, 2016.

Over the next 18 months, the second and third floors were gutted and rebuilt to highlight the building's rich history.

The rooms are spacious and have many modern amenities while showcasing the characteristics of a building that was constructed in 1890.

Stop by Casey, Illinois, and see why visitors love us for our supersized attractions, historic downtown, and our small-town charm.

Awesome!

From the welcome text with all the information for checking into my room to parking options, my stay was awesome.

Being in the downtown area also made it so easy to walk around and enjoy the sights.

The wonderful outside elevator, the beautiful rooms, and the very comfy bed made for an excellent stay.

And being a bit of a history nerd, I loved the renovation of this building.

Wonderful!

"What a wonderful and cozy hotel. If you come to Casey, you want to stay here.

It's the perfect compliment to this charming town. Large, renovated rooms with modern, rustic furnishings.

Staff are friendly and attentive, which is hard to find in this new era of low (or no) hotel service."

We love the 1890!

We love the 1890 Sleepover establishment. My family has stayed several times now for pleasure. The location is perfect and within walking distance of several BIG things.

Kimberlee, the owner, is always friendly and very attentive to any of our requests (including wonderful recommendations).

The place is always clean and the soaps, shampoos, etc are all high quality. The staff is helpful and my wife loves the coffee station on each floor. Highly recommended. We look forward to returning again soon.
